If anything is expected of Christians, it is that Christians are called to a love walk. The nature of love is supernaturally installed into Christians and this nature is acknowledged by faith in Christ. In every child of God, there is a capacity to love the way that God loves.
God loves the deserving and the undeserving; He loves the wicked and the good. Actually, to love the way God loves is a tough call. Hate and self-centredness are of the devil but the God of love delivered us from darkness and translated into the Kingdom of His dear Son.
1 John 3:14, We know that we have passed from death unto life because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.
As a Christian, your true nature is that you love the way God loves because you are a child of God. Experience is a good teacher but the Holy Spirit is the best teacher. The Holy Spirit teaches us how to love the sinner and you must have a passion for it.
How to love people like God?
Finding Christ introduces another higher level of loyalty.
The cross is a symbol of death
The devil offers a crossless life
If you want to live in full obedience, you will encounter the cross
The Christian faith is predicated on God living in you and living through you – this is the main distinction between Christianity and other religions of the world. It is okay to know the Scriptures but it is better to have the spirit of Scriptures.
Galatians 2:20, I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless, I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
Christ comes first before family, state and country. Jesus demands that He must have first place in our lives. We die to self because death is the way to life. The death of the cross is very painful but we must die on the cross before resurrection can take place.
When you become born again, a supernatural surgery takes place in you to the point that you are able to love and pray for your enemies like Jesus Christ. You cannot pray for those who despitefully use you unless you have died on your cross.
God gives us choices so that there can be a reward for every right choice. When you choose to love God, in spite of self, there will be intimacy between you and God. Men by nature are lovers of themselves but God wants men to love Him first, love self and others too.
